Killzones are the time windows where ICT setups actually work — Forex: Asia, London, New York, London Close · Indices: Asia, AM, Lunch, PM. Every window explained, plus why time matters as much as price.
ICT always says "Time and Price" — price alone is not enough; it has to be the right time too.
A killzone = the window when institutions are genuinely active — liquidity is thick, displacement is high-quality, setups behave by the book. Outside killzones price drifts aimlessly, and the same setup that used to win starts failing.
This series covers the full Forex + Indices tables plus the special Macros and Silver Bullet windows.

Forex Killzones (EST)
The high-probability FX windows:
• Asia Killzone — 10 PM-12 AM EST • London Killzone — 2-5 AM EST ← prime time for EUR/GBP • New York Killzone — 7-10 AM EST ← prime time for every USD pair • London Close — 10 AM-12 PM EST — the reversal window
Working rule: the setup must complete its conditions inside the killzone — not merely sit near one.

Indices Killzones (ES / NQ)
The futures-indices table:
• Asia Killzone — 8 PM-12 AM EST • AM Killzone — 8:30 AM-12 PM EST ← prime window for Turtle Soup and the Silver Bullet (10-11 AM) • Lunch Hour — 12-1 PM EST — do not trade (volume dries up, chop) • PM Session — 1-4 PM EST — continuation or reversal into the close
Pair with Daily Bias: bias tells you *which side* — the killzone tells you *when*. Together they are a complete trade plan.

When is the Silver Bullet?+
The Silver Bullet is the one-hour window ICT flags for the highest-quality FVG setups — most popular is 10-11 AM EST (the NY AM Silver Bullet). There is also a London SB (3-4 AM EST) and a PM SB (2-3 PM EST). Rule: only trade FVGs that form INSIDE the window.
Which killzone should a trader with a day job pick?+
Pick one window and master it instead of watching all day. The London KZ suits early risers; the New York KZ has the deepest volume; the London Close suits reversal traders who prefer a later session.
Why is the Lunch Hour off-limits?+
From 12-1 PM EST institutions genuinely step away — volume disappears, spreads widen, price chops with no displacement. Setups printed in this window are almost all noise. ICT calls it the dead zone. If you carry a position from the AM, partial or trail it — do not open new risk.
