Month One — Your First System (The Simplest Possible)

Month one — you will meet the most dangerous temptation for a beginner: the system that "looks god-tier."

YouTube will offer a new strategy every day — each with 5-8 indicators, a cool name, and a teacher showing off profits. You will want to try them all.

I am begging you — do not. In month one, you need one system, the simplest possible.

Why it must be simple

Beginners fail because their system is too complex, not too simple: • A system with 8 indicators → 8 things to interpret → most contradict each other → you get confused → you decide too slowly → you miss • A simple 2-3 condition system → decide in 10 seconds → repeatable → measurable → improvable

The first system I recommend for beginners — Trend + Pullback

This is the simplest structure that still has logic:

Tools: EMA 50 (a single moving-average line) + spotting swing highs and lows with the naked eye

Entry rules (Buy): 1. Price is above EMA 50 (= uptrend) 2. Wait for price to pull back down to touch or get near EMA 50 3. A bullish reversal candle forms (a strong green close) 4. Enter Buy · SL below the most recent swing low · TP at 2x the SL distance (R:R 1:2)

(For a downtrend, mirror every rule.)

The iron rules of month one — 4 of them:

1. One system — no changing for 30 days Pick this system (or another simple one) and stick with it for a full 30 days. Do not switch because you lost 3 in a row.

2. One pair — EUR/USD Do not spread out. One pair lets you learn its personality.

3. One timeframe — 1H or 4H Do not trade 1M/5M in month one — too fast, too much noise for a beginner.

4. Tiny risk — 0.5% per trade Once you move to real money, start at 0.5%. Month one is practice, not profit-hunting.

Journal every trade — even the trades you "did not take" Journal the setup you saw, whether you took it, the reason, the result, the emotion. By month-end you will have 20-40 trades of data telling you what you did right and wrong.

> The goal of month one is not "the best system" — it is "one system you understand, can follow, and can measure." A simple system you can follow beats a god-tier system you cannot.

Month one is over — in month two you meet the hardest truth: losing.
