You have been in the market for 90 days. That means you are already in the minority — most beginners quit before 90 days or blow their account before 90 days. "Still being here" is a tangible achievement.

Checkpoint — assess 6 items honestly

Score yourself pass or fail on each:

1. Do you still have capital? — the account is not blown (total loss under 20-30%) 2. Do you have one system you stuck with? — you did not change systems every week 3. Do you have a journal kept consistently? — 50+ trades of data to review 4. Did you follow the system 80%+? — not mostly trading on emotion 5. Do you "lose well"? — small losses, to plan, no trade badly hurt by emotion 6. Do you still have the right mindset? — still seeing this as a long-term skill, not a fast track to wealth

Reading the result:

Pass 5-6 items — you are well on the right track. Next 90 days: increase trade size a little at a time (0.5% → 1%), collect a sample to 100+ trades, start looking at real metrics (win rate, R:R, expectancy).

Pass 3-4 items — you are on the right track but have weak spots. Do not increase size yet. Identify the items you failed and focus on fixing them for the next 90 days.

Pass 0-2 items — stop and review. The problem is usually not "the market" but the process or the mindset. Go back to Chapter 1. You may need to return to demo for another round. And this is not failure — you just saved your own money by learning the truth early.

The truth about timeline — do not fool yourself

90 days = you have just "survived" the first stage. A consistently profitable trader takes 2-5 years to get there. The first 90 days are the prologue of a long book, not the whole book.

Anyone expecting 90 days to bring consistent profit is setting the wrong expectation — and will be disappointed enough to quit.
