Stage 4 — Harvest: Payouts and a Long-Term Career

You have reached the final stage — you have a funded account · but I have to tell you the truth: getting a funded account is not the "finish line" — it is the "start line" of being a professional trader.

Stage 4 is turning that funded account into "a real, sustainable income."

Step 1 — trade the Funded account and survive (do not blow it in the first month)

The biggest trap of this stage: you pass, you feel "safe now" → you trade loosely → you blow up the funded account before earning a single dollar.

The truth: the funded account has the same Drawdown rules · if you blow it, you lose that account · trading a funded account takes the same care or more than the exam.

Step 2 — the first Payout (proof the model genuinely works)

A payout is the firm paying your share of the profit as real money.

The first payout matters enormously, psychologically — it is the first piece of proof that your whole 0→100 path "genuinely works," it is not a theory.

The advice: with the first payout, withdraw to "break even on the challenge fee" first · once you have broken even, the pressure drops enormously · now you are genuinely trading "for free." (the "Prop Firm Payouts" ebook digs in)

Step 3 — Scaling (growing from small to large)

Many firms have a Scaling Plan — profit consistently → the account grows in steps ($50k → $100k → $200k → ...)

Its power: the same % skill, but a bigger account = more real money · this is where your income genuinely "compounds."

But — do not rush to scale · scale when the track record has proven it, not when you are impatient · and the same system, do not change it — the capital changes, the system and the % risk do not.

Step 4 — see it as a genuine "profession"

By this point, you are a professional trader · treat it like a profession: - have a routine — before trading, during, after (journal) - review consistently — every week, every 100 trades - withdraw some profit to use — do not compound every cent · seeing real money in your pocket keeps your motivation up and proves it was worth it - diversify the risk — when ready, some people hold multiple accounts / multiple firms

What "100" actually is — one more look

Now you see it — "100" is not a number in an account · it is a "status": you have a system with an edge, a funded account you can withdraw from, and most importantly — you have a "process" that is repeatable.

Because if one day you lose the account — you can rebuild · because what has real value is not the account, it is the skill and the process in your head that no one can take away.
